Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Week is an event that began in 1985 to commemorate the life of Enrique "Kiki' Camarena; it continues to be a dedicated awareness occasion in October.

Agent Camarena lost his life fighting against drug activity impacting the United States via Mexico.  After 36 years, Red Ribbon Week continues spotlighting the challenge for schools, communities, and workplaces to "Pledge to Live a Drug-Free Life."
